Chemical Application

We apply the biocide to kill the moss and algae on the roof. This is a super concentrate moss inhibitor and the best in the business.

Moss and algae removal

We then clear the roof of remaining moss and algae with a jet wash at medium pressure. This is to ensure that all dirt is removed which could reduce the effectiveness of the service.

Sealing the roof

As a final step – we seal the roof with concentrated biocide – the tile absorbs the chemical and it dries, so that every time it rains, the chemical reacts and kills the algae.

As well as clearing the gutters of debris and providing before and after-photographs, we offer an annual service of returning to apply the same chemical to further lengthen the lifespan of the service (separate fees apply)

How long will my roof clean last?

The longevity of your roof clean largely depends on the number of trees surrounding your property. If your home is located away from heavy tree cover, your roof clean can typically last up to 8 years. However, if your property is surrounded by trees, we would expect the results to last closer to 5 years, as falling leaves, moss spores, and other tree deposits lead to faster debris build-up on the roof.

How to get the best out of your roof clean?

Roof cleans are best carried out in dryer months, as the chemical will have longer time to set onto the tiles.

We recommend an annual re-application of the spray (additional fees apply) which means you’ll never need it to be deep cleaned again.
