Reach and Wash V’s traditional cleaning methods

Did you know that using cleaning products to clean your windows actually attracts dirt? That’s not the case with our Reach and Wash pure-water system which leaves the windows cleaner, for longer. Pure water is fed through a long pole to a brush at the end. The brush is then moved across the window allowing the pure water to absorb impurities and lift the dirt. The window is then rinsed to leave a streak-free sterile surface. Not only does the reach and wash system leave the window clean, it also cleans the frame and sills.

Can Windows Be Cleaned When It’s Raining?

It’s commonly believed that cleaning windows in the rain is pointless because they’ll just get dirty again. But is that actually true?
The Simple Answer
No. It’s completely normal for window cleaners to work in all weather except storms or high winds.  Windows still get really clean, even when it’s raining.
Why Windows Really Get Dirty
Windows need cleaning because they get dirty, not because they get wet. Years ago, when chimneys filled the air with smoke and soot, rainwater often carried dirt onto windows. Since the Clean Air Act, this is no longer the case.

What Causes Dirty Windows Today

The main causes of dirty windows now are dust, pollen, and bird droppings. If these are already on the glass when it rains, the rain can bind to the dirt and make windows look worse. When windows are clean, rain simply runs off and they remain clean.
We Clean Windows in the Rain?
Yes, we do. Our staff are fully used to working outdoors in all kinds of weather. Furthermore, rainwater is pure water like the water we use to clean the windows, so it doesn’t affect the final result.
Traditional Cleaning vs Pure Water Systems
Traditional window cleaners who use soap and a squeegee have more difficulties in the rain, because they can’t get the glass dry as easily.  This mainly affects the cleaner, not the customer.  And this doesn’t affect us at all because we use a pure water cleaning system, which is not affected by rain and leaves windows spotless and streak-free.

How Our Regular Window Cleaning Service Works.

Our service is a scheduled maintenance round designed to keep windows clean year-round at a fixed price.

We are a small family run business, and the following conditions allow us to provide a reliable service to our customers.
By accepting our service you agree to the following:

•     Price based on full access each visit
•     Up to 2 missed cleans allowed yearly
•     Locked gates count as missed visits
•     Same-day cancellations are chargeable
1.⁠ ⁠Regular Cleaning Service

Your quoted price is based on your property being cleaned on a regular cycle (every 4 or 8 weeks as agreed).

This is a maintenance clean, meaning the price reflects normal dirt build-up between visits — not heavy build-up from long gaps.

2.⁠ ⁠Access Requirements

The price includes cleaning all windows, including the rear of the property on every visit.

Please ensure on your cleaning day:

• Gates unlocked
• Clear access around the property
• Pets secured

If we cannot access the rear (locked gate, obstruction, dogs etc):

The visit counts as a missed clean and the full price is still due.

We cannot offer reduced prices for partial cleans as travel time and scheduling costs remain the same.

3.⁠ ⁠Missed Cleans Allowance

Your maintenance price includes up to 2 missed cleans per calendar year.

Missed cleans include:

• Cancelled visits
• No access to property
• Locked gates / blocked access
• Asking us to skip the clean
• Payment issues preventing the clean

4.⁠ ⁠Additional Missed Cleans

After 2 missed cleans, the property no longer qualifies for the maintenance price.

We may then:

• Charge a one-off catch-up clean price, or
• Increase the price to reflect extra time required

Once fully cleaned, the regular price can resume if the schedule is maintained.

5.⁠ ⁠Same-Day Cancellations

Our work is route planned in advance.
Cancellations on the day of the clean are charged at the full price and count as a missed clean, as the appointment cannot be re-filled.

Please let us know by 4pm the previous day is the scheduled clean doesn’t work for you. If we are notified after this time, we reserve the right to count this towards your 2 missed clean quota.

6.⁠ ⁠First Clean / Catch-Up Cleans

The first clean — or any clean after a long gap — may cost more due to heavier dirt build-up

After this, the regular price resumes if visits continue as scheduled.

7.⁠ ⁠Weather

We clean when it’s raining as purified water cleaning is unaffected. We only reschedule in unsafe weather (high winds, freezing conditions or storms).

8.⁠ ⁠Payment Terms

Payment is due within 24 hours of the clean via our accepted payment methods.

Late or unpaid visits may result in suspension and count as a missed clean.

9.⁠ ⁠Re-Clean Guarantee

If you are unhappy with the quality of the clean, please inform us within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean free of charge.

10.⁠ ⁠Service Removal

We may remove properties from the round due to repeated missed cleans, non-payment, unsafe access or abusive behavior.

11.⁠ ⁠Acceptance

By continuing with our service after the first clean you accept these terms.
